Bob Lockman left this world in much the same way he lived in it, quietly and without fanfare. He was very soft spoken, some would say to a fault, and certainly a man without enemies. It was tough not to like Bob.

Bob owned and flew a PT-17 Stearman before he started flying sailplanes in 1980. He got his CFIG rating in 1991, a few weeks before his 71st birthday and was an active, longtime member of the Red Wing Soaring Association. He will be missed by all who knew him.
