Setting up 503(c) non-profit status for a Soaring Club

Hello all,

I am reaching out to see how we can set up 503c non-profit status for our Soaring Club. I am looking for folks who have gone through the process and could share there experiences in doing so. I am want to hear the pros and cons of having a club that is considered non-profit.
