This will be the first ever race in the United States that not only allows for team flying but encourages it! And what better venue for such an event than the Soaring Capital of America, Harris Hill! The whole event will be from July 10th-20th. The first three days (July 10th, 11th, and 12th) will be field check out days/ team flying practice and teaching days. The last seven days will be all racing! Harris Hill has allowed for 20 pilots in total to come and compete, 10 teams of 2. Pilots will be scored individually and as a team. If you do not have someone to fly with that is NO problem! Sign up anyway and we will get you in touch with another pilot as early as we can! All ships are welcome as we will be scoring under the sports Class handicap. This is an unsanctioned event… this year… but rest assured this is the direction soaring is headed!
If you are interested reach out to David McMaster via email at mcmasterdr@gmail.com
Sign ups are now available on Harris Hills website via the events calendar!
Hi David,
great that you organized this. It is time that the US is allowing team flying so that when pilots competing in Europe they have a much better chance.
I had hoped to be at H.Hill during that time, but cannot come before late July, early August. Hope to be there for several days to see my soaring friends
