Greetings from a sunny and very warm Tabor, Czech. Today we have spent the day preparing our camp and further refining our equipment. The day was scheduled to be blue and very warm. Therefore, David decided to rest up after his 5 plus hour flight yesterday familiarizing himself with the ASW-20, and our recent travels. As it turns out, most of the competitors made this same decision as there weren’t many launches today. As you can see, the site is really starting to come alive with all of the enthusiasm and excitement you’d expect from 70+ Junior competitors from all around the world. The fleet of Tow planes are assembled, the representing country’s flags are raised and trailers have started to line the runway. A cafe has also been established where you can grab food and cold drinks throughout the day. Next up: scrutinization. This is the time where the contest representatives go through all of our paperwork and confirm we are indeed ready and legal to fly. We’ve worked hard together with Pete Alexander and Colin Mead over the past few months, so hopefully we will have good news to share with you all tomorrow. That’s all for now and please feel free to comment with any questions you may have for myself or David.
