From the contest site: “THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY LOOKS A BIT UNCERTAIN WITH EXPECTED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTH WESTERN PART OF COUNTRY SO THE TASKS WERE SET TO WEST AND THEN AGAIN WITH LONG LEG TO EAST AND BACK. SOUTH EASTERN PART OF CZECH REPUBLIC SHOULD BE MORE STABLE WITH REASONABLE FLYING CONDITIONS. TASK TIMES FOR ALL CLASSES WERE SET FOR 3:30.”

PWR backseat.

We decided it was best to not play the start game like the other classes had started doing. The gate opened and we rolled wings level and started less then .3km later. It was a long glide to the 9knts the 18m guys were finding. Then we ran until it looked less straightforward. The first part of the second leg was easy, the second half involved a lot of blue holes, some we navigated around, others we couldn’t decide on a direction and went straight through them. The day was really strong with not a lot of streeting in the correct direction. The final glide home was over 100km in a really dead looking sky. Our best climb of the day was to final glide. Then the switch was turned off.
